Is this the right fit?
A vCIO for leadership teams that are tired of technology decisions by default.
Every company has an IT strategy. Most of them are whatever the last vendor sold and whatever broke last. A vCIO replaces that with a plan, a budget, and a scorecard your leadership team reviews on a cadence.
Built for you if
- You have 50–500 employees and no one at the leadership table who owns technology
- You are planning growth — new sites, a merger, a lab, a warehouse, a big hire wave — and IT keeps arriving late
- Your board, investors, or customers ask questions about risk that no one can answer with a number
- You want a three-year roadmap and a budget you will not be surprised by
Not the right fit if
- You want a part-time person to run the helpdesk (that is managed or co-managed IT)
- You are not planning to act on the roadmap once it is written
- You need a one-time assessment with no ongoing accountability
- You have a full-time CIO already and need staff augmentation
What you’ll have 90 days in
- A technology assessment: every system, contract, and risk on one page
- A ranked three-year roadmap tied to your business plan, with a budget forecast
- Vendor and license consolidation started, with the savings identified
- A security and compliance scorecard your leadership can read in five minutes
- Your first quarterly review — decisions made, owners assigned, next quarter funded
What you can hold us to
- A documented onboarding plan with dates, before you sign
- Transition visibility — you see every step of the move
- Agreed service levels, reported on, not just promised
- Evidence you can show an auditor, insurer, or customer
- An executive reporting cadence with a named owner
- Clear escalation — one number, one accountable team
- Transition assistance if you ever leave: documentation and access handed over, in writing
They have supported us as we have grown — moving to a new location, adding employees, and setting up a laboratory.

Questions buyers ask
Straight answers before the call.
What does a vCIO actually do each month?
Owns the roadmap and the budget, reviews risk and security posture, manages vendors and renewals, plans the projects that growth requires, and reports to your leadership team on a fixed cadence — quarterly at minimum, monthly during a move, a merger, or an audit.
Do we need managed IT from Stealth to use the vCIO?
No, but it is where it works best. When the vCIO is also accountable for the team running your environment, the roadmap is grounded in facts and the plan gets executed by the people who wrote it. We can also serve as vCIO alongside an internal team.
How is this different from an IT consultant?
A consultant delivers a document and leaves. A vCIO is accountable for outcomes quarter after quarter — budget accuracy, projects delivered, risk reduced — and stays on the hook for what the roadmap says.
Can the vCIO present to our board or investors?
Yes, and often does. We prepare a one-page technology and risk scorecard for board or PE reporting, and we join the meeting when a decision needs a technical voice in the room.
What does it cost?
A flat monthly retainer sized to your company and the cadence you need — quoted in writing after a 20-minute call. Most clients recover the fee in vendor and license consolidation within the first year.
